FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) is really important for interior design and 3D visualization. When we start an interior rendering project, we always ask the client whether the furniture has to be exactly the same or if we can use similar furniture from our 3D library.
Case 1: Similar furniture is okay.
Usually, clients give us CAD drawings, material samples, and pictures to show the style they want. But they don’t always provide a detailed list of every single furniture item. Instead, they show us a few pictures that represent the style of the interior rendering they would love to achieve. In this case, we choose similar furniture from our library that matches the style. Of course, the client can make changes during the modeling phase.
Case 2: Furniture has to be exactly the same.
Sometimes, clients give us a detailed list of furniture with pictures or information sheets, and they want every piece to be exactly replicated in the interior rendering. In this situation, we assess the amount of work needed based on the number and complexity of the furniture items. (For simple ones, we might do it for free.)
Special Case
It’s rare, but sometimes the client initially says similar furniture is fine, but later they realize none of the options are as close as they want. In that case, we suggest they try to find 3D models that they think would work. If they can’t find anything suitable, we can consider creating custom models, but there might be an extra cost depending on the complexity.
To avoid this situation, please understand that it’s not always possible to find an exact match in our 3D library. So next time, we can show you different types of 3D models from our library to help you decide whether you need custom furniture or something from our library is okay. If you have any questions about FF&E in 3D rendering, feel free to leave us a message or send an email to us.
